Fluoropolymer materials are lighter but stronger than metal components. So, it has been continuously replacing older metal components in aerospace. By applying fluoropolymer material will make aircraft lighter in both civilian & defense industry. We offer aerospace customers standard PTFE back-up rings and engineered seals such as piston seals and custom design plastics. Our Ptfe sealing products will meet the demands for the range of applications such as engines, gear boxes, flight controls, landing gear, wheels and brakes, and airframes. We formulate our own PTFE compounds to meet exacting material, design and production standards, and also offers elastomeric aerospace materials. With the range of different grades of fluoropolymer materials available, it can be difficult to choose the specific grade for your application. PTFE COMPOSITE
Different PTFE materials are prepared according to different conditions and working conditions, including pure PTFE, PTFE filled with glass fiber, PTFE filled with carbon fiber and PEEK. The glass fiber and carbon fiber are mixed evenly in high-speed mixer after the silane coupling agent treatment, then it is sintered at 380℃.
PTFE AS HIGH PERFORMANCE POLYMER
Aside from outstanding chemical inertness and mechanical strength, fluoropolymers are also known to have good weather resistance, good electrical properties, and low friction. They have been used to make seals, gaskets, tubing, valve parts, coatings, and hose. PTFE is used in wire and cable insulation for electronic applications.
